New Vice-Rectors Elected

The elections of Vice-Rectors of the University of Opole were held on 17 March 2016. In secret ballot elections three candidates, proposed by new Rector Prof. Marek Masnyk, were voted on by 87 out of 100 electors representing the whole University community. Professor Wiesława Piątkowska-Stepaniak was elected Vice-Rector for Public Affairs and Administration, Professor Janusz Słodczyk Vice-Rector for Research and Finance and Professor Izabella Pisarek Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs.  

Prof. Wiesława Piątkowska-Stepaniak and Prof. Słodczyk have been chosen for their posts for the second time and Prof. Izabella Pisarek will start her first term as Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs. Before standing in election Prof. Pisarek won acceptance of the Students’ Union and doctoral students.
