„ReThink Finance” – innovative project within Erasmus+ Programme
At the beginning of the current year, the University of Opole became a beneficiary of a new project within the framework of Erasmus+ Programme, Key Action 2, Partnerships for Cooperation - higher education sector.
The leader of the project ReThink Finance – integrating paradigms and digital technologies into financial teaching and literacy is Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Romania. The project is implemented by the consortium of 6 institutions, including also the University of Siena (Italy), the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain), the Institut de Haute Formation aux Politiques Communautaires (Belgium), and Bold Technologies SRL (Romania). Prof. Marta Maciejasz, Director of the Institute of Economics and Finance, is the head of the project and, together with Dr Robert Poskart, she monitors the progress of the project.
The project comprises two areas:
- developing digital skills of teachers to integrate modern teaching methods using digital technologies into their curricula
- developing the competences of BA students of Economics in innovative fields of finance (digital finance, behavioural finance, neurofinance, financial stimulations) and integrating current software that is used in practice for a better future entry into the labour market.
BA students of Economics and their teachers will have an opportunity to participate in intensive summer programmes and intensive training programmes involving modern technologies used in the field of finance. Beneficiaries of the project will receive financial support from the EU funds to complete the project activities. The project shall last for the period of 3 years with the ending date of the project operation planned for January 9, 2025.
