Professor Marek Masnyk, Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs has announced Rector’s hours (no classes) on March 10, 2016 due to the celebration of the University Day.

On that day the 22nd anniversary of the establishment of the University of Opole is to be celebrated. During the Senate’s session, which begins at 9.30, Medals of the National Education Commission are to be awarded to the following members of staff of the University of Opole:

  • Lech Bogdański, MA from the Physical Education and Sports Centre;
  • Piotr Sikora, PhD from the Institute of Pedagogical Sciences;
  • Monika Sporek, PhD from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology;
  • Piotr Stanisławiszyn, PhD from the Faculty of Law and Administration;
  • Professor Anna Śliz from the Institute of Sociology;
  • Professor Dorota Światała-Trybek from the Institute of Polish and Cultural Studies;
  • Professor Krystian Wojaczek from the Faculty of Theology;
  • Sławomir Wierzba, PhD from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology;

Then the sculpture of Heracles will be unveiled in the courtyard of Collegium Minus UO (in photo).

You are also welcome to participate in the Holy Mass celebrated for Academia on the 22nd anniversary of the establishment of the University of Opole - Wednesday, March 9, at 6 p.m. in the Academic Church (ul. Drzymały 1).
