Choosing the Best International Student in Poland
Candidates for the INTERSTUDENT competition for the best foreign student in Poland can be proposed until 20 January. This is the 11th edition of the competition in which we reward the best foreign students studying at Polish universities. As every year, we are looking for ambitious people, good students, but above all active, committed people who build bridges between cultures. And every year, thanks to the cooperation with universities, we find many excellent candidates.
To enter the competition, candidates need to be active in the local student community - culturally, socially, ecologically and in sports - and they must have good academic results or participate in interesting research projects
Candidates may be nominated by their professors, tutors, university authorities, international cooperation offices, student unions and colleagues.
It is our experience from the previous editions that the winners of the competition are excellent "ambassadors" of the universities at which they study and of our country. Media coverage of the competition and the profiles of winners gives universities an excellent opportunity to demonstrate their achievements in the internationalisation process.
The INTERSTUDENT competition is organised under the honorary patronage of Prof. Arkadiusz Mężyk, President of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools of Poland.
The partners of the competition are: Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools of Poland, Polish Students Parliament, and Poland’s PhD Students Union (KRD).
The official announcement of the Interstudent 2021 competition results will take place in February, during the "Foreign Students in Poland 2021" conference, hosted by the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences. For obvious reasons, we do not know yet in what formula the awards gala will be held (we will certainly put safety first), but we will definitely make sure that the winners of the competition in the pandemic year are duly honoured!
Deadline for submissions is 20 January 2021
