Inauguration of Academic Year
The inauguration of the new academic year will take place on October 3, 2018, at 11.00 in the Lecture Theatre of the Faculty of Theology (Drzymały 1a).His Magnificence Rector and Senate of the University of Opole invite all students and university staff members to take part in the ceremony. The programme includes a report by Prof. Marek Masnyk, on the activities of the University of Opole in the academic year 2017/2018, speeches by invited guests, awarding scholarships granted by sponsors, matriculation of first-year students, and the speech by Maciej Pischka, President of the Student Union.
The inaugural lecture 'The right to court in a democratic legal state' will be delivered by Prof. Zbigniew Kwiatkowski.
On the previous day, October 2, 2018 at 6 p.m. in the Academic Church (Drzymały 1a) there will be held a holy mass celebrated by Rev. Andrzej Czaja, Bishop of the Diocese of Opole.
