Polish Odyssey in Iran: Mutual Understanding and Cooperation
We are pleased to invite the academic community and residents of Opole to an open lecture by Professor Mahmood Sharepour from the University of Mazandaran in Iran.
The lecture will take place on Wednesday, 6 June 2018, at 1 p.m. in the Museum of the University of Opole.
Professor Sharepour is a member of the International Sociological Association and an internationally recognized sociologist of the city.
He has prepared a special lecture on Polish traces in northern Iran and Polish influences and interactions with local Persian communities in the first half of the 20th century. The lecture is entitled 'Polish Odyssey in Iran: Mutual Understanding and Cooperation' and will be held in the Museum of the University of Opole.
The lecture is part of the staff and student exchange programme between the UM and the OU within the framework of the Erasmus+ proramme. Professor Sharepour was invited to Opole by Professor Janusz Słodczyk, the initiator of the cooperation, who shares his interest in urban issues with his Iranian colleague.
