The cooperation will take place within the framework of the Integrated Development Programme of the University of Opole project. The agreements were signed in the Plafond Hall on 6 April 2018.

ECO SA is a long-standing partner of our university on many levels. This time it has become one of the first companies with which the UO signed a cooperation agreement as part of a four-year project 'Integrated Development Program of the University of Opole'. Our university is the only one in the region to receive as much as PLN 10 million from the National Centre for Research and Development for the project.

Thanks to it, our students will be able to combine theoretical knowledge they gain during their studies at the UO with practical experience in the best companies in Opole and Opole region. Over the next four years, nearly half a thousand students will be trained in this way.

- The labour market is currently extremely demanding, - said Prof. Marek Masnyk, Rector of the University of Opole. Good theoretical education is not enough any more; therefore, we want to support our students with practical knowledge, which they will gain during the internship modules in various excellent companies in our region, among others, ECO.

Monika Stypułkowska, member of the Management Board of ECO SA, praised the cooperation with our university. - That's for the mutual benefit, - she said. The student will gain not only knowledge, but also practical experience, which they cannot acquire during their university studies, and we will perhaps train some excellent personnel for the future.

Marcin Dynkiewicz, President of the Managing Board of ECO Logistyka, is of the opinion that young people in a company have often a fresh look at many issues. They often have a different point of view on things that we, experienced professionals, have already started to treat routinely. Meeting young people and working together on the so-called living organism is of mutual benefit - both to them and to the company.

Joanna Kostuś from the Academic Incubator emphasized that not every university can boast such internship programmes for students as those offered by the UO.

- It is obvious that after graduation our students will be well prepared in theory, but we also want to equip them with experience and practical knowledge, which they will not gain during their classes, but while participating in internship programmes, project teams, or training visits. Students will also take part in certified training courses, which are usually very expensive, so an average student cannot really afford it, - she explained.

Students will be able to take advantage of 120 or 240 hours internships. In each case, they will receive an internship grant in the amount of 18 zlotys gross per hour. They will also have a chance of being recruited.

The Integrated Development Programme of the OU will be offered to students of almost all faculties, therefore the range of companies with which the university will sign new agreements is wide and tailored to the profile of our university, and will include offices, law firms or large manufacturing companies.
