Polish Academy of Sciences Visiting University of Opole

On March 21, 2018, the Faculty of Economics is hosting a joint meeting of two Committees of the Polish Academy of Sciences: the Committee on Labour and Social Policy Sciences and the Committee on Organizational and Management Sciences. The event is organized by the Department of Strategic Studies and Socio-Economic Policy, headed by Prof. Agata Zagórowska, who is a member of the The Committee on Labour and Social Policy Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

It is an event of great scientific and promotional prestige for the university and the region. It will be attended by representatives of the largest academic centres in Poland, including the President of the Committee on Labour and Social Policy Sciences, Prof. Dr. Zenon Wiśniewski of the University of Toruń, and the President of the Committee on Organisational and Management Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Prof. Bogdan Nogalski from the WSB University in Gdańsk. Both professors are authors of recognized and popular textbooks and publications in the field of social policy, management, including human resources management, labour market, and economics.

The participants of the meeting will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the scientific achievements of the employees of the Faculty of Economics and other faculties of the University of Opole. The programme also provides for the presentation of university achievements in the context of regional development.
