The senators of the University of Opole for the term 2024-2028 received their appointment letters on 12 September 2024 and began their work. The ceremonial meeting took place in the UO Senate Hall.

The appointment letters were jointly presented by the Rector of the UO, Prof.  Jacek Lipok, and his predecessor, Prof. Marek Masnyk.

“I would like to make this kind of ceremonial presentation by the outgoing rector and the incoming rector a new tradition at our university,” said Prof. Lipok. “It is an expression of our respect and appreciation for the extremely important role played by the UO senators.”

“I wish you four good years for our university,” added Prof.  Masnyk. “I have deep faith and hope, or rather conviction, that this will be the case.”

At the first meeting of this term, resolutions were passed, inter alia, on adopting the curriculum for the postgraduate programme Special educator in inclusive education, and on announcing the election of members of the University Council for the term 2025-2028. 

Right after the UO Senate's session, a meeting of the UO Rectors' College was held, at which nominations were handed over to the deans of faculties and directors of scientific institutes of our university.
