Opole University Library
The Main Library of the University of Opole is the biggest academic library in Opole Province. The Library is a welcoming and friendly place for everyone willing to use its resources. It has over 900,000 books, journals and special editions. The Library consists of 11 specialist libraries, whose resources correspond to educational and research fields of the relevant faculties and institutes of the University.
The Library offers access to both printed and electronic versions of books and scientific journals. Thanks to the Aleph library system, it is possible to search and order books online as well as to check the status of one's library account. Polish and international e-book platforms as well as databases with scientific journals are a vital source of up-to-date knowledge for students and scientists. Students and staff members can access electronic resources from outside the University network using the HAN system.
The Main Library owns 649 antique prints and books coming from Polish and European publishing houses dating back to16th-18th centuries and a collection of manuscripts from 19th and 20th centuries.
The Opole University Library is a member of the Silesia Digital Library, which offers free access to its valuable resources for Internet users.
