The University of Opole offers over 70 degree programmes. It provides education in various fields, ranging from medical sciences, through humanities and social sciences, to natural sciences and engineering. Among others, you can study medicine, law, psychology, computer science, sociology, logistics, PR, cosmetology and journalism. Importantly, some of our study programmes are also conducted in English, French and German, which attracts students from all over the world.

The University of Opole participates in prestigious programmes such as Erasmus+ and the FORTHEM Alliance, while also belonging to the European University Association network. This gives our students access to a wide range of exchange and study abroad programmes.
The Europa Master programme is a unique offer that allows students to obtain three diplomas – from the University of Opole, the University of Dijon (France) and the University of Mainz (Germany). The UO has signed cooperation agreements with over 240 universities in Europe and with universities in such distant corners of the world as Australia, the United States, Brazil, Cambodia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Kazakhstan and Mexico.

The University is proud of its high ratings in the evaluation of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education – it has full promotion rights in every evaluated discipline, which means that it can conduct doctoral studies and award academic degrees.
All this is based on over 70 years of academic tradition full of scientific and teaching achievements. Although the University of Opole was established 31 years ago, it had previously been home to the Higher School of Education, which laid the foundations for the university in its present form.
