A rapidly growing peer-reviewed scientific journal aimed at students, alumni and staff of medical schools, universities and other research institutions. The mission is to create a platform for collaboration and exchange of information, ideas and experiences in the medical and health sciences. The editorial board accepts papers for publication in English only. They are published in the following sections of the quarterly journal: Original papers, Review papers, Case reports, Reports, Announcements, a new feature is the section for papers by young scientists. Manuscripts are published free of charge, in the Open Access system (the golden way), under Creative Commons licences.
Folia Organologica
A peer-reviewed international yearbook dedicated to pipe organs and organ music. It is a continuation of a non-periodical publishing series Silesian organs, initiated in 2007 by the Chair of Church Music and Music Education at the University of Opole and the Diocesan Institute of Church Music in Opole, which resulted in five volumes of studies devoted to the subject. The yearbook presents original scholarly works, covering above all issues of organ building and its history, as well as organ music performance. The journal also contains reviews of books, journals and CDs, reports on organ studies conferences and a review of organ festivals and concerts. The yearbook is also an international forum for discussion and exchange of viewpoints related to pipe organs.
Germanistische Werkstat
A peer-reviewed scientific journal published in the form of a yearbook since 1999 by the Institute of German Philology and currently by the Chair of German Language and the Chair of German Literature at the University of Opole. The topics of the articles published in ‘Germanistische Prace/Germanistische Werkstatt’ include the following areas: history of German-language literature, literary theory and aesthetics, cultural studies, language and literature from a media studies perspective, history of the German language, contrastive linguistics, applied linguistics, sociolinguistics, German studies, cultural contacts between Poland and German-speaking countries, Silesian studies, translation studies, glottodidactics, intercultural German studies, new media and regional culture. The journal publishes dissertations, reviews and reports. Publications in German are accepted for publication.
