The main purpose of the Knowledge Base of the University of Opole is to provide information and promote the achievements of the University’s employees and organizational units. Its core is the UO Publication Register and the University of Opole Repository.
The Opole University Repository archives full texts of publications in digital form, including: monographs, journal articles, book chapters, doctoral theses , as well as texts of works constituting the basis for awarding academic degrees and titles.
The UO Knowledge Base is a reporting tool for the Polish Scientific Bibliography portal, which is part of the Integrated Information System on Science and Higher Education POL-on. The type, scope and nature of data entered into the Science Information System results from the statutory obligation specified in art. 354 of the Act of 20 July 2018 – The Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws 2018: 1668, as amended) and the regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education issued on its basis on 6 March 2019 on data processed in the Integrated Information System on Higher Education and Science POL-on (Journal of Laws 2019: 496).
