Our scientists, doctoral students and even undergraduates manage to\u00a0receive numerous grants and scholarships to\u00a0conduct projects and research programmes on\u00a0a national or\u00a0even international scale. Numerous research programmes are realized and scientific journals are published within the frameworks of\u00a0international agreements. Thanks to\u00a0this programme students can do\u00a0a part of\u00a0their studies or\u00a0placement abroad and gain new experience. They also have an\u00a0opportunity to\u00a0immerse in\u00a0the culture of\u00a0foreign countries, which is\u00a0of great importance in\u00a0today\u2019s world.<\/p>\n<p>A guarantee of\u00a0participation in\u00a0the Erasmus+ Programme is\u00a0the possession of\u00a0an Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE). In\u00a02021, the European Commission granted an\u00a0ECHE to\u00a0the UO\u00a0for the period 2021-2027. This gives us\u00a0the opportunity to\u00a0implement projects with the EC\u00a0funding.<\/p>\n<p>Student exchanges, internships and staff mobility at\u00a0the UO, which are familiar to\u00a0almost everyone, are not the only tasks we\u00a0carry out under the Erasmus+ programme. In\u00a02019, we\u00a0became part of\u00a0the\u00a0<strong>FORTHEM<\/strong>\u00a0(Fostering Outreach within European Regions, Transnational Higher Education and Mobility) Consortium of\u00a0European Universities. With six partners (Dijon, Mainz, Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4, Riga, Valencia and Palermo), we\u00a0work to\u00a0create a\u00a0common academic environment and develop innovative forms of\u00a0mobility (for both students and staff) and joint study programmes. These are international projects that aim at\u00a0sharing experiences and then developing and disseminating innovative solutions in\u00a0the field of\u00a0youth education and training.
