Student culture, student entertainment, student life – they are all around you.<\/strong><\/p>\n

One of the intriguing features distinguishing the University of Opole from other universities in the country is that the capital of Poland’s smallest voivodeship has the highest number of students per capita in the country.<\/p>\n

The charming and quiet centre of Opole with its old buildings, narrow cobbled streets and river banks reminds us of the atmosphere of old university towns in Italy, France or Germany.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Several thousand young people are educated at Opole’s four universities.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Considering the total population (118,000), this means that statistically every fourth person you meet on the city’s streets is a student during the academic year.
\nSignificantly, Opole ranks second in the ranking of the cheapest Polish cities.
\nThe student campus is located in an attractive but quiet part of the city, close to the old town, two theatres, a cinema, a swimming pool, two fitness centres, a sports stadium, student entertainment venues, atmospheric caf\u00e9s and stylish tea rooms. On the campus itself, there is an impressive modern Student Cultural Centre and a year-round \u2018Orlik\u2019 pitch with artificial lighting.<\/p>\n

The flagship academic event during which Opole’s citizens and student community mingle is the annual \u2018Piastonalia\u2019. It is a festival for students, a spring carnival on the streets of Opole that lasts several days and includes all-night partying – naturally free of classes.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
