All new Erasmus students are invited to take part in Erasmus Induction Days: 15-17 February, during which you will have a chance to get to know the University, the city and its surroundings.

You are allowed to skip your classes if you participate in the Induction.

The programme is as follows:

15th February

  • Inauguration of the Erasmus+ Studies in the Blue Hall in Collegium Maius (Address: Kopernika Square 11A, Room: 301).
We will discuss the matters connected with your studies, present the University and answer your questions.

  • Bowling evening in the FitLife Bowling Club in Szara Willa, one of the three-star hotels in Opole from 6.00 pm till 8.00 pm.

Enjoy yourselves, get interested and involved, and strike new friendships!

16th February

  • Tour around Opole centre from 1:00 to 4:00 pm – starting point: Niechcic Hall at 12:50 pm.

We will show you around the centre of our town, not only to make you familiar with its historical and cultural value, but also to help you get around easily. You will see the best of our town within 2 hours.

  • Meeting in a restaurant (tasting traditional dumplings, that is pierogi) at 4:15 pm

 17th February

  • Visit at the Opole Silesian Museum – starting point: Collegium Maius at 9:45 am
The museum is housed in a former Jesuit college (1698). The permanent exhibition features the prehistory and history of the surrounding area and the city, and there are also some temporary exhibitions.

Please mind that longer coach tours to Bierkowice (an open-air ethnographic museum) and Moszna (a fascinating castle) as well as Krasiejów (Jurapark) will be arranged when it gets a little warmer.

We hope you will like our programme and look forward to experiencing Opole!
