Dr Marzanna Pogorzelska from the Institute of Pedagogical Sciences visited Kansas State University and the University of Central Missouri, where she delivered a series of lectures on comparative education.

The lecture Social Justice Education: a Global Perspective given at Kansas State University was filmed and, because of its significance, included into materials to be used by academic staff in the classes with students from Midwest Equity Assistance Center affiliated with Kansas State University. Dr Pogorzelska participated also in the international research conference at Kansas State University delivering a lecture Social Justice Adult Education: Comparative Perspectives from Poland and the United States.

At the University of Central Missouri Dr Pogorzelska delivered a lecture Social Work from Polish Perspective to students of Social Work. Her lectures were met with great interest on the part of students and academic staff of both schools who praised them as being ‘inspiring, mind broadening and providing a deep insight into Polish education and culture’. Dr Pogorzelska’s stay in the USA was described as an important step in the cooperation between our universities.
